Park at Tommy’s Arm River Bridge and prepare for a good 10km hike. If you like fishing, take your rod and try out a couple of the ponds along the way. Wear good boots though. There may be a bit of mud here and there. This hike is not difficult and can be easily managed by most. After crossing the bridge, you will soon arrive at Joe’s Pond Creek, then around the bend and up the hill and soon you will cross Long Pond Creek, and soon after, Long Pond on your right. Good fishing here. You will continue climbing gently until you get to the 4km point that I call Kippin’s Ridge Lookout, about 400 ft above sea level. The high mountains of to the west are the dividing line that was used to decide which direction to hauled out wood. East of there towards Robert’s Arm, west of there towards Badger. Then down the hill, take the next right to Twin Pond. Note the crystal clear water, that is fun to fly fish. It is great just to catch and release. On your return trip, pay attention to the far hills on the Eastern horizon. The furthest away is Sunday Cove Island. Enjoy your adventure.
